About Qdata® Melanoma
Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that develops when melanocytes (the cells that give the skin its tan or brown color) start to grow out of control. Melanoma is much less common than some other types of skin cancers. But melanoma is more dangerous because it's much more likely to spread to other parts of the body if not found and treated early.
Deeply abstracted, longitudinal melanoma patient records that capture clinical detail required to understand disease biology, molecular subtype, and treatment response. The dataset includes BRAF mutation status, immunotherapy and targeted therapy exposure across adjuvant and metastatic settings, stage at diagnosis, and detailed multi-line treatment sequencing. Each record is curated under oncology oversight and structured to support regulatory and development use.
The melanoma dataset maintains high completeness across the clinical variables that drive decision-making, including molecular subtype, performance status, stage at diagnosis, and documented outcomes.
Evidence in Action
Comprehensive Coverage Across the Full Melanoma Continuum
With 68% of patients seen at an academic center, 91% metastatic patients with outcome data, and 4.2 years average length of follow-up, the dataset reflects both the specialized care setting and the surgical complexity central to melanoma management.
Comprehensive Coverage of Melanoma Treatment Modalities
The melanoma dataset reflects the full treatment landscape, from adjuvant immunotherapy in resected Stage 3 and Stage 4 disease through checkpoint inhibitors and BRAF-targeted combinations in the metastatic setting. Each line of therapy is documented in sequence, with detailed response and outcome capture across treatment settings.
Actionable Biomarker Data for Targeted Therapy Research
The melanoma dataset captures BRAF mutation status at the individual patient level through structured abstraction of molecular pathology results. BRAF V600 status is the primary therapeutic biomarker in melanoma, defining eligibility for BRAF and MEK inhibitor combinations and informing treatment sequencing decisions in both adjuvant and metastatic settings.
