Myelodysplastic Syndrome Real-World Data
Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is uncommon before age 50, but risk increases with age. The number of new cases diagnosed each year is likely increasing as the average age of the US population increases.
Qdata® can help lead to better treatments.
Qdata® Myelodysplastic Syndrome is an exclusive dataset providing a longitudinal view of diagnosis, risk classification, treatment patterns, and real-world outcomes in real-world clinical practice.

About Qdata® Myelodysplastic Syndrome
Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), also known as myelodysplastic neoplasms, are conditions that can occur when the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow become abnormal, resulting in the marrow not making enough healthy new blood cells. This leads to low levels of one or more types of blood cells.
MDS medical research is aided by deeply abstracted, longitudinal myelodysplastic syndrome patient records that capture clinical detail required to understand disease biology, risk stratification, and treatment response. The dataset includes IPSS-R risk group classification, hypomethylating agent and venetoclax exposure, and detailed treatment sequencing. Each record is curated under oncology oversight and structured to support regulatory and development use.
The MDS dataset maintains high completeness across the clinical variables that drive decision-making, including IPSS-R risk classification, performance status, treatment intent, and documented outcomes.
Evidence in Action
Comprehensive Coverage Across the Full MDS Continuum
With 83% of patients with performance status, 20.8 performance statuses on average per patient, and 2.9 years average length of follow-up, the dataset reflects the specialized care setting central to MDS management.
Comprehensive Coverage of MDS Treatment Modalities
The MDS dataset reflects the full treatment landscape, from supportive care and hypomethylating agents through venetoclax combinations and emerging targeted therapies. Each line of therapy is documented in sequence, with detailed response and outcome capture across care settings.
