Non-muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer Real-World Data

70% of Bladder Cancer is Diagnosed as NMIBC.

Qdata® Can Help Improve How These Patients are Treated.

Qdata NMIBC is a real-world data set of 74,000+ patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer that offers a granular view of the NMIBC patient journey, stratified by T stage, grade and more.

About Qdata NMIBC

If cancer in the bladder is only found in its connective tissue or inner lining layers—and not yet in the muscle layer—it’s considered non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). This type of cancer can present in individuals for several reasons, including those who are older or have a family history of bladder cancer.

Verana Health’s NMIBC Qdata module was developed to help advance clinical research for bladder cancer patients. With bladder cancer being one of the most common cancer types in the United States and across the globe, it’s imperative that steps are taken to improve survival rates. Bladder cancer research can provide real-world evidence for better treatment interventions.

Through Verana Health’s partnership with the American Urological Association (AUA) Quality (AQUA) Registry, we can analyze and curate electronic health record (EHR) data to provide exclusive insights. This can include date of diagnosis, treatment plans, T stage documentation, tumor grade, and whether there is disease recurrence. By understanding treatment patterns and patient outcomes from NMIBC real-world data, researchers and clinicians can shape future strategies for patient care.

Key Variables in Qdata NMIBC

Curated variables are extracted from EHR data to be utilized based on your research needs.

T Stage

This is determined by the size and extent of the tumor. T stage is graded from one to four, depending on the severity of the tumor.

Tumor Grade

This measurement describes the appearance of the cancer cells. Grades one through three are assigned based on how normal or abnormal the cells look, as well as how fast they are growing.

Dates of Reccurence

This is determined by extracting disease recurrence from EHR clinical notes and connecting it to the date of the note.

Unstructured EHR Data Enables Deeper Understanding

The QData NMIBC module can support research efforts in disease progression, treatment, and recurrence. Verana Health applies clinician-informed algorithms to unstructured EHR data to help extract important information on T stage, tumor grade, and other key variables. This can then be reliably analyzed across patient populations.

Real-world evidence from bladder cancer real-world data can give life science companies unprecedented insights into the journey of patients with NMIBC. This data module from Verana Health is pivotal in evaluating treatment patterns, patient outcomes, and more.
